We are happy to present the first announcement for the Fifth Quadriennial Meeting of the International Heteropterists Society in Washington, DC, to be held 21-25 July 2014. Please mark your calendars! The program promises to be an exciting one. Lectures and posters will be presented at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of Natural History, one of the largest natural history museums in the world, with entomological holdings of more than 35 million specimens. The Heteroptera collection alone comprises nearly 5,500 primary types and nearly 1 million other specimens held in more than 2,000 drawers.
